Maanpiiri camp is an drug- and alcohol-free open event for everyone, where you can delve into nature, community and yourself. The camp program combines daily trips to the fells, cross-artistic workshops, yoga, physical exercises, meditation, campfire circles and working with the five elements. There is also a separate program for children.

The camp program offers the opportunity to stop, listen and observe the world around you in peace and with presence. The heart of our camp is the hut of the Karila farm, which together with the fells and the maze creates an inspiring and sensory-perceptually stimulating environment. In particular, the maze, which Maanpiiri created in Karila’s semi-wild garden, offers a unique place to experience and explore the circle of the lands more deeply.

The focus of the camp is on doing and sharing together. Each participant can share their expertise and participate in small joint tasks that promote the smooth running and well-being of the camp. Maanpiiri is not just an event – it is a community that we create together.

The camp is organized by the Metsäperhe ry in cooperation with Karila Farm and the campers. Since 1998, Metsäperhe ry has worked for community and deepening the relationship between people and nature. Since 2019, the association has organized the Maanpiiri camp in Äkäslompolo.

The Maanpiiri camp invites people of all ages to participate – families, children and adults.
