A café and gallery in an old bard
Café Karila Navettagalleria (Karila Barn Gallery & Café) is a rustic café on the edge of the national park. As its name suggests, the café has been renovated into an old barn. The hay barn connected to the barn functions as both a café and an art gallery with both changing exhibitions and permanent works.
The pastries and food at Navettagalleria are made from high-quality ingredients on site: we bake donuts, savory and sweet pastries and pies every day. Our selection usually includes products made from gluten-free ingredients. Smoked reindeer soup is also available on the takeaway table. The soup, seasoned with Koskenlaskija cheese, is made from local reindeer meat and root vegetables. For vegans, we prepare lentil and coconut soup.
The house specialty is whitefish kurniekka, which fish lovers will surely enjoy!
We have a small shop in the café, where local – and also the house’s own – handicrafts and herbal products are on sold.
