Winter activities on Karila farm

Karila farm has reindeer in its own enclosure during the winter. You can ask for treats from the café for goat Tikitiki and the reindeer. But please do not bring dogs near the reindeer, as the reindeer can hurt themselves if they get scared.

A 300 m long cross country ski track is laid out on the Karila field, there you can learn the basics of skiing or even try out skating style. The flat track is a good place for the smalles family members to practice the basics of skiing in peace. Encourage your child to ski the entire route and then come enjoy cocoa and donuts at the Café Karilan Navettagalleria!

In winter, when the snow conditions permit, a small snow mountain, LUIKURIMÄKI, will be built on the field. Slides and sledges can be found by the house.

The Karila area, which located in the northernmost corner of the village, is kept as dark as possible so you can enjoy the northern lights better.
